Samantha is two years old!

This month Samantha turned two! She had a party for all of her little friends at a baby Gym called Rolly Pollies. Grammy was able to be here for that, which made it extra special! Then we had a celebration for our Small Group friends from church as well as our neighbors the next weekend at our house. It was also a going away party for Brian, as he was deploying a few days later.



Brian deployed safely and we have begun a long 4 month separation from him. So far we have been able to video chat with him several times which has been good for all of us! He is busy flying but has had plenty of opportunities to call home, or get on the Internet. I love technology!

Some exciting news this month is that Samantha started pre-school twice a week. She is in a little two year old class at Old Fort Baptist church and she goes for 4 hours on Monday and 4 hours on Wednesday. She is extremely social now and loves to play with her friends and get out of the house. Every morning she tells me that she doesn't want to stay at home anymore and that she wants to go 'bye bye'. She is clearly ready for a little more stimulation and new experiences so we are really excited that she has started this new adventure.

This month Samantha continues to potty train, and she continues to talk a lot more. She uses several words in a sentence and says things like, 'My boo-boo hurts me' or ' juice box please, Mommy'. She is just so much fun now.

On the sleeping front, we have finally turned the corner and are back to a pretty good sleep routine at night. Samantha sleeps for about 10 hours on her own now and is finally going to sleep without a battle. I am so happy to put that stressful chapter of our lives behind us and am thankful things are going so well now. We completely took the crib/toddler bed out of the room and she sleep on a little mattress on the floor. Apparently she doesn't like beds and much prefers the floor!
