Potty Training. . . 22 Months

This month, Samantha has just exploded with personality, language and independence. She is virtually potty training herself which gives me hope that this will be a relatively easy process. She will take her diaper off, walk into the bathroom, climb up on the toilet and pee. Sometimes she doesn't even want me in the bathroom. She wants to do it by herself. Most of the time she is happy going in her diaper, but then there are times where she decides to use the potty. We give her a little treat after she does it, but we still aren't pushing anything. I'm afraid if we make a big deal about it, it will backfire. I have learned that you can't make Samantha do anything she isn't ready to do on her own.

She is saying so much more now. Some of her new words are: bug bites, yellow bus, keys, mine, one (the number), and bike. She is starting to put two words together more often and is babbling so much more than she used to. Another cute thing she does is she tries to sing ABC, but it sounds like 'beeZee, beeZee. She also likes to lay out two objects, and then hold up two fingers. She doesn't do that for any other number, just two.

This month we started out in Alabama with Brian, but quickly ended up back in California because I got sick and needed some help. Samantha has really enjoyed being wit
h all her family. Her favorite activity is to go around the backyard and find all the spots where Cody (my parent's dog) pooped on the grass. Then she runs inside to find someone to clean them up. She yells, 'poopie, poopie' and then goes and points out the areas that need clean up. It's so funny.

Oh, and the other thing she has done a couple of times this month is she tries to stuff
her shirt so that she looks like Mamma :). It's the funniest thing I have ever seen.
